Is Occupy Wall Street Having an Effect?

After the Nov 6 demonstration in DC resulted in a delay of the Keystone XL Pipeline, Naomi Klein has declared victory and credits Occupy Wall Street, HERE. Two days later on Election Day, many conservative backed referendums were defeated. Then on the day before Veterans Day, Nov 10, the part jobs bill to help veterans passed the Senate, and by an overwelming margin; see the Roll Call Vote. Now Obama is talking tough in Honolulu.

Is it possible that the Occupy Wall Street movement is having an effect? Will they be able to influence the Super Committee on the budget? The Occupy Movement is on a march from NYC to DC to do just that. Here is the planned route and schedule. They left NYC on Nov 9 and plan to arrive at DC on Nov 23, the deadline for the Super Committee decision. They are now in Philadelphia. They plan to be in Baltimore on Nov 20. Using US-1, they will stop at Laurel before the final push to DC. They will be marching near the eastern edge of Columbia a week from today, Monday, Nov 21.
